Our #WCW is Nyasha Sanyamandwe, one of the four-member normalisation committee which was recently announced by FIFA to run ZIFA for a year.
The 25-year-old Sanyamandwe, a legal practitioner, was a surprise to the football fraternity and some have cast doubt over her appointment while others have hailed her inclusion.
She believes her work will answer her critics.
I have to check if they are in line with the international statutes (FIFA) so my role there is just compliance from that perspective and to see football people happy which makes the role social and legal.
“I can relate to the bible, the David and Goliath story. Age should not be a hindrance, we are talking about the bottom line.

“I think that assertion is ill-founded and lacks a foundation and logic as we need to assess the deliverables on the table.
“All I can assure you is the team I am working with on the table will all collaborate for us to achieve.
“I have not been in sports before but I am very open-minded and I felt it’s a challenge I can take on.
“There is legal in everything so I can fit in so it’s something I am happy to engage in.”
