The only National Park to lose and regain its national park status in Zimbabwe…

The park is Kazuma Pan National Park. The park was first proclaimed as a National Park in 1949, but lost the designation in 1964 due to lack of new developments. It regained its National Park status under the Parks and Wild Life Act in 1975.

Kazuma park is located in the North West of Hwange National Park, just at the tip of the tip of the teapot. It hosts a large number of animals including the big five(lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and white rhino).
