Lusitania Primary School, in Harare, under the leadership of Ambassador Dr. Patricia Gonde made a remarkable impact at the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai. The school’s participation in the event, under the session titled “Nurturing Environmental Stewards: Inspiring Primary School Children for a Greener Future,” exemplified their commitment to environmental education and sustainability.
Dr. Patricia Gonde, the session organizer and a driving force behind Lusitania Primary School’s environmental initiatives, led a delegation that included Mrs. Chipadza, head of ICT, and two exceptional 12-year-old students, Kekona Chinhara, the vice head girl, and Nicole Lufeli, the head girl, both of whom are members of the school’s active Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) club. She was interviewed by BBC prior to the event.
The school’s session at COP28 focused on inspiring primary school children to become advocates for a greener future.
