ZIMBABWE is among 79 countries participating in the 10th anniversary of the Miss Global currently underway in Cambodia.
The race for the coveted Miss Global crown is underway with the organisers announcing the top 25 countries leading the fan vote where 13 countries will automatically qualify for the semi-finals.
Kudzai Matizha, who is representing the country, is no longer on the leading list of pageants who have received the most votes.
Zimbabweans have a role to play in boosting Matizha’s qualification into the semi-finals to be held on January 13.
Miss Global opened an online voting platform where people can vote for their favorite queens.
The 21-year-old has been representing the country well on various platforms where more than 70 other beauty queens from around the world are also competing.
The Miss Global preliminary competition will be held on the 13th where reigning queen Shane Tormes of the Philippines will hand over the crown.
