Sakhile Zie Dube, a Zimbabwean psychotherapist, public relations and marketing manager, and beauty queen, has been making waves in the world of pageantry. Born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Sakhile hails from a big family and grew up with seven siblings.
Sakhile’s journey began in Harare, Zimbabwe, where she now resides, though she previously lived in Gweru, Zimbabwe. She attended Sizane High School in Bulawayo before pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the Women’s University in Africa in Harare.
Her pageantry career gained momentum in 2015 when she won the title of Miss Inyathi in Bulawayo, marking the start of a promising journey. In July 2017, Sakhile participated in the esteemed Miss Zimbabwe World competition, held at the Borrowdale Brooke Golf Course in Harare, and impressively secured a spot in the Top 16.
Continuing to make a name for herself, Sakhile clinched the title of Face of Zimbabwe Fashion Week in July 2018, showcasing her versatility and poise. Not content with just conquering the pageant world, she also delved into the realm of music, featuring in Winky D’s music video for the song “Kasong Kejecha,” released in December 2018.
Sakhile’s passions extend beyond her home country, as she embarked on a journey to Santa Carolina in Inhambane, Mozambique in January 2019. Displaying her versatility as a model, she graced the runway at Milan Fashion Week in September 2019, leaving an indelible mark on the international fashion scene. Later that year, she explored the beauty and culture of La Gaulette, Black River in Mauritius.
In February 2020, South Africa beckoned Sakhile, offering her opportunities to expand her horizons and connect with diverse communities. The year 2020 proved to be a significant turning point when she competed in Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, emerging victorious as the winner and affirming her position as a rising star.
Sakhile continued to shine in the pageant world, representing Zimbabwe at Miss Earth 2022 and securing a position in the Top 8 among a talented pool of candidates from around the globe. Her journey didn’t end there, as she was appointed Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2023 in April the following year.
With great excitement and immense pride, Sakhile took the stage at Miss Supranational 2023 in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. Facing fierce competition from 64 other candidates, she showcased her elegance and grace, earning her a spot in the Top 24. Moreover, she proudly claimed the title of Miss Supranational Africa 2023, a testament to her undeniable talent and beauty.
