Zim developers make chatbot for pharmacies. Zimbabwean developer Blessing Museki and his team have introduced a groundbreaking WhatsApp chatbot called Cloomi. This chatbot serves as a vital link connecting millions of Zimbabweans to nearby pharmacies, enabling them to conveniently access essential healthcare services. Currently, the Cloom team has partnered with 60 pharmacies in Harare, marking a significant step toward improving healthcare accessibility in the country.

Cloomi the WhatsApp chatbot utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies to provide individuals with a seamless experience when searching for pharmacies. To access Cloomi, users simply need to add the contact number to their WhatsApp and send a message. The chatbot responds by asking for their location, allowing it to determine the nearest partnered pharmacies.

Upon obtaining the location, Cloomi provides users with a list of nearby pharmacies, including their addresses, contact details, and operating hours. Users can also search for specific medications and inquire about their availability at each pharmacy. This feature is especially advantageous for those looking to purchase medications that might be less commonly stocked.
