Our #WCW is Tariro Mnangagwa, a Zimbabwean film producer, actress and conservationist. Tariro is best known for her role in the 2020 film Gonarezhou The Movie. She has also produced The Story of Nehanda in 2021, having started in both movies. She is the daughter of His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Tariro obtained a Diploma in Professional Photography at Cape Town’s City Varsity. She also graduated with an Honours in Sport Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
After returning to Zimbabwe, Tariro joined with Akashinga, an all-female anti-poaching ranger unit. Then she became a member of an all-female anti-poaching combat unit called The International Anti-Poaching Foundation.
Soon after, she was invited to act in the film Gonarezhou, the film is produced in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority.
