Dani Alves, the renowned football player, has been granted conditional release from incarceration after posting a bail of €1m (£853,000).
Last month, Alves was handed a prison sentence of four-and-a-half years following his conviction for sexually assaulting a woman at a nightclub in Barcelona in 2022The Spanish court, on Monday, permitted the ex-Barcelona and Brazil footballer to exit jail while his appeal is under consideration, subsequent to the payment of the required bail.
Alves, who is 40 years old, has been in pre-trial custody since January 2023.
