Our #MCM today is Macauley Bonne, a Zimbabwean footballer who plays for Cambridge United as a center forward. Born in the year 1995 to Zimbabwean parents in Ipswich, Bonne began his football career as an eight year old at Ipswich Town before joining Norwich City Football Club.
He then went on to spend his youth career at Colchester United in 2009 where he advanced from youth ranks to the club’s first team. He made his professional debut for Colchester in 2013, and scored his first goal on his 18th birthday in a match against Peterborough United.
From 2016 to 2017, Bonne had two loan spells at Lincoln City and Working, he then joined Leyton Orient in July 2017 and played for two seasons, scoring 45 goals in the process. From there he went on to play for various clubs including Queens Park Rangers and Chalton Athletic.
On International level, Bonne first made his international appearance for Zimbabwe in a match against Guinea in the 2015 Africa Cup Of Nations.
