This week in history, we commemorate the founding of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) and Forward In Faith Ministries International (FIFMI) by Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti on May 12, 1960. Under a humble gum tree in Bindura, Zimbabwe, Guti embarked on a journey that would spread the message of faith to over 140 nations and states worldwide.

A Ministry of Expansion

From its inception, ZAOGA FIFMI has grown exponentially, establishing a presence in numerous countries across the globe. Guti’s tireless efforts and unwavering dedication have made the ministry a beacon of hope for countless individuals.

A Life of Service

Archbishop Guti’s contributions extend beyond the realm of faith. He founded various ministries, including Forward in Faith Children’s Home, Children’s Ministry, Africa Christian Business Fellowship, Gracious Women’s Fellowship, and Husband’s Agape International Fellowship. His commitment to education led him to earn several academic credentials, including a BA, MA, DD, D.Min, and a Ph.D. in Religion.

A Legacy of Writing

Guti authored an impressive 113 books on his teachings, leaving behind a wealth of knowledge and inspiration for future generations.

 

National Hero

In recognition of his remarkable contributions, President ED Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe declared Archbishop Ezekiel Guti a national hero.
