President Mnangagwa will travel to Uzumba, Mashonaland East Province, on Friday to launch the Youth Service in Zimbabwe at Nhakiwa Vocational Training Centre. This follows a report presented to Cabinet by Vice President Kembo Mohadi, Chairperson of the Cabinet Committee on State Occasions and National Monuments.
According to Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr. Jenfan Muswere, who addressed a post-Cabinet media briefing on Tuesday, the launch will take place under the theme “Empower Youth: Secure the Future.” The event will be held at Nhakiwa Vocational Training Centre in the Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe district of Mashonaland East Province on May 24, 2024.
President Mnangagwa will deliver the keynote address and engage with youths from diverse backgrounds. The program aims to promote vocational skills among vulnerable youths and increase their economic participation. Approximately 50,000 youths are expected to attend the event.
