Maud Chifamba, who became the youngest Zimbabwean student in Africa as of 2012, has announced that she has joined the Goldman Sachs TMT Investment Banking team in New York.

Maud Chifamba also revealed that she was gifted a $75,000 (USD) Goldman Sachs MBA Award. Maud Chifamba is the youngest Zimbabwean ever to be accepted at the University of Zimbabwe, where she enrolled at the age of 14 to study for an accounting degree.

At the age of 18, Maud Chifamba obtained a Bachelor in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Accountancy at the University of Zimbabwe.

I’m incredibly excited to share that this summer, I’ve joined the Goldman Sachs TMT Investment Banking team in New York! I’ve also been blessed with the $75,000 Goldman Sachs MBA Award. 

I am consistently amazed by the path my life has taken. 

From starting school in a place with no desks and 3 teachers only for 7 classes, to Deloitte, Wharton, and now to Wall Street—it’s truly been by God’s grace. I came to Wharton for this moment, and I had to pinch myself yesterday to believe it’s happening.
