Despite a disappointing performance in the World Cup qualifiers, Zimbabwe Warriors coach Jairos Tapera remains optimistic about the team’s future.
Speaking to reporters, Tapera highlighted the positives from their recent matches, saying: “We picked up some valuable lessons and identified areas for improvement. Let’s use this as a starting point to build and launch ourselves forward.”
Tapera drew inspiration from Benin’s remarkable turnaround, who went from bottom place to joint top with just two wins. “If we get organized and work together, I’m confident we’ll excel in our next assignments,” he added.
With criticism mounting over his coaching, Tapera’s words will be put to the test as the Warriors look to bounce back in their next matches.
