Christopher Androliakos, a renowned cattle breeder and proprietor of Heads and Hooves Butchery in Bulawayo, found hanged at his home.
Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube, confirmed the incident, which occurred yesterday in Famona.
The businessman returned home in the evening on June 12 and found his wife having travelled to Harare, while the family’s helper had retired for the night, police spokesman Inspector Abednico Ncube said.
“On June 13, the maid commenced her duties at around 6AM and found the doors of the main house still locked. She proceeded to the now deceased’s bedroom window and knocked but there was no response,” Ncube said in a statement released Friday.
“After waiting for some time, she entered through the kitchen window which is always kept open to allow movements of the cat. As she was moving along the corridor towards the main bedroom she discovered Androliakos’ body hanging on the ceiling loft on a nylon rope.”
Androliakos ran the meat wholesaler Heads and Hooves which supplies customers countrywide, and has butcheries in Bulawayo.
