Zimbabwean midfielder Tendai Nyumasi has retired from playing football

Zimbabwean midfielder Tendai Nyumasi has retired from playing football after the expiry of his contract with Botswana Premier League side Sua Flamingoes.

Nyumasi regarded as one of the best foreigners to play in the Botswana Premier League, spent 14 years in Botswana having arrived during the 2010/11 season with ECCO City Greens.

“It’s been a beautiful journey, I think this is the right time to leave the stage. I am now going to focus on family business. I want to thank football lovers in Botswana for the love and support they’ve shown me since I arrived here to join ECCO City Greens. I really appreciate it and please continue showing the same love and support to the future generations,” Nyumasi said.

Nyumasi also played for Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Police XI and Orapa United during his long stay in Botswana. He began his career in Zimbabwe playing for Douglas Warriors and Ashanti Goldfields in the Northern Region Division One before moving to Zambia where he won the championship title with Zanaco in 2009. He moved to Botswana  the following year.

Zimbabwean midfielder Tendai Nyumasi has retired from playing football after the expiry of his contract with Botswana Premier League side Sua Flamingoes.

Nyumasi regarded as one of the best foreigners to play in the Botswana Premier League, spent 14 years in Botswana having arrived during the 2010/11 season with ECCO City Greens.
