The FIFA-appointed ZIFA Normalisation Committee’s term has come to an end today, June 30, 2024, after being in office since July 11, 2023. Led by Lincoln Mutasa, the committee comprised Cynthia Malaba, Rosemary Mugadza, Sikhumbuzo Ndebele, and Nyasha Sanyamandwe.
During their tenure, the committee faced challenges in transforming football for the better. One notable aspect of their tenure was the appointment of four different coaches for the Warriors within a span of nine months. The coaches who served during this period were Simba Chidzambwa, Baltemar Brito, Norman Mapeza, and Jairos Tapera.
The end of the committee’s term marks a new chapter for ZIFA and Zimbabwean football, with hopes for a more stable and successful future.
