Our #MCM today is Munyaradzi Gwatidzo, a 38-year-old tech entrepreneur who’s making waves in the African technology industry!
Born and raised in Mbare, Harare, Zimbabwe, Gwatidzo’s passion for technology was evident from a young age, despite the financial constraints he faced. He completed his high school education and went on to earn a degree in Computer Science.
Gwatidzo’s career journey is a true rags-to-riches story! He started as a filing clerk at FBC Bank, then ventured into the technology industry by buying and selling second-hand phones. This eventually led to the establishment of his own company, Astro Technology Group.
Today, Astro Technology Group is a pan-African technology company with operations in five countries! The company has three thriving subsidiaries: Astro Mobile, eshagi, and Pulse Active. Gwatidzo’s achievements are a testament to his hard work and dedication. He’s been recognized as Africa Entrepreneur of the Year, ZNCC Young Businessman of the Year, and Young Businessman of the Year.
