Norwich City have completed the signing of 19-year-old left-back Lucien Mahovo from Notts County.

Mahovo will initially link up with the Norwich’s under-21 side, having spent the back end of last season on loan in the sixth tier with Ian Culverhouse’s Boston United.

He played six times for the Notts County after joining them in March, having made two first-team appearances for his parent club earlier in the campaign.

He’s also spent time with Long Eaton, and was part of Sheffield United’s youth setup before moving to Nottingham.

Lewis Shipley has returned from a mixed spell on loan in League Two with Accrington Stanley, while Guilherme Montoia impressed enough last term to earn a place on the senior bench multiple times.

Speaking to official club channels about joining Norwich, Mahovo said: “It’s a great club, with brilliant facilities. I’m excited to get ready and get going.

“I love to get on the ball as much as I can and influence the game. I’ve learnt a lot of valuable lessons when going out on loan (playing senior football) and I’m ready to apply them here.”
