The position is responsible for providing technical support in all ICT related issues and to oversee the development, implementation, and use of Information Communication technology throughout Tobacco Research Board Divisions. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of all ICT systems. This is a two-year internship programme.
• Monitors and maintains networks (LAN & WAN) and servers.
• Upgrades, installs and configures new hardware and software.
• Manages telecommunications infrastructure.
• Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Develops data retrieval and recovery procedures.
• Database Administration.
• Creates user accounts and performing access control.
• Performs diagnostic tests and debugging procedures.
• Documents processes.
• A contributing member of the ICT Steering Committee.
• Keeping up to date with advancements in innovation and best practices in ICT.
Minimum; Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least one-years’ experience.
• Knowledge in Node JS, Java, HCL Notes & Domino will be an added advantage.
