A multi-vehicle accident in Harare on Thursday morning resulted in one fatality and four injuries. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the incident, which involved five private vehicles.
The accident occurred around 7:00 AM at the Mabvuku turn-off, where Mutare Road and Donnybrook Road intersect. According to the police report, a Mercedes Benz vehicle with one passenger failed to stop at a red traffic light.
The Mercedes Benz then collided with a Toyota Corolla, which was turning right onto Mutare Road from Donnybrook Road. The Toyota Corolla had four passengers on board.
The ZRP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The identity of the deceased and injured individuals has not been released. The incident serves as a reminder to exercise caution and follow traffic regulations to prevent such tragic accidents.
