President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called on Zimbabwean youth to emulate the values and patriotism displayed by the country’s national heroes and heroines. He emphasized that it is the duty of every Zimbabwean to ensure the tradition of respect and remembrance for these brave individuals, who sacrificed for the nation’s independence, is passed on to future generations.
The President encouraged the youth to put Zimbabwe first and carry forward the values of unity and deep love for the country that were embodied by the nation’s heroes and heroines. He urged them to warmly welcome the delegations arriving for the 44th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit, demonstrating the country’s hospitality and spirit of unity.
The main Heroes Day celebrations will be held at the National Heroes Acre in Harare, where the President will lead the nation in commemorating the occasion. This year’s celebrations serve as a reminder of the importance of honoring Zimbabwe’s heroes and heroines, and the need for the youth to continue their legacy of patriotism and unity.
