Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrived in China on Tuesday for a state visit, where he was greeted with a grand welcome ceremony hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People.
The ceremony marked the beginning of President Mnangagwa’s official visit to China, during which he will also attend the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.
The state visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Zimbabwe and China, with discussions expected to focus on trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
President Mnangagwa’s visit to China is seen as a significant opportunity for Zimbabwe to deepen its ties with one of the world’s leading economic powers.
