A Zimbabwean man, Jasper Anesu Munikwa, based in Dubai, has been exposed for deceiving and swindling 35 women out of their hard-earned money. Munikwa used false promises of marriage to manipulate the women, convincing them to send him thousands of dollars.
The scam was uncovered when one of his victims, a young woman, discovered his lies and exposed him online. She revealed that Munikwa had promised to marry her and even planned a lobola ceremony in Zimbabwe. However, when she arrived in Zimbabwe, she found that his relatives knew nothing about the plans.
Further investigation revealed that Munikwa had sent fake pictures claiming to be involved in an accident to avoid traveling to Zimbabwe. The young woman then created a WhatsApp group with other women Munikwa was chatting with, exposing his deceit.
Thirty-five women came forward, sharing similar stories of being conned by Munikwa. He promised marriage, cars, and other gifts, but instead, took their money. The total amount scammed is estimated to be around R5 million.
Munikwa has since been deported from Dubai and is reportedly living in South Africa, where he continues to scam women. The victims have warned the public to be cautious of his tactics and are seeking justice for their losses.
