Did you know that Zimbabwe is one of the select few African countries proudly boasting its own mobile phone manufacturing company, GTel Zimbabwe? Founded in 2009, GTel has been trailblazing the tech industry with its innovative products and services, all designed and manufactured locally.

In 2014, GTel launched the SL 5.5, which became the 2nd slimmest mobile phone handset in the world, just behind the Asian Oppo!

GTel’s flagship line, “Infinity,” boasts impressive features like the Infinity X, with a 48 MP Main Camera, 5 MP Ultra Wide Camera, and a 2 MP Depth Camera, running on Android 11.

As of 2015, GTel had an impressive one million mobile phone users in Zimbabwe and expanded its operations to Kenya the same year.

GTel has released phones with cutting-edge features like wireless charging, seen in the X7 model launched in 2018.
