Renowned entrepreneur, musician, and inventor Daniel Chingoma, famously known as the “helicopter man,” has passed away.
Chingoma gained widespread recognition for designing and building the “Zimcopter,” a groundbreaking helicopter project that was unfortunately barred from flying by the government. His innovative spirit and determination made him a celebrated figure in Zimbabwe.
Apart from his engineering ventures, Chingoma was a multifaceted individual who made significant contributions to various fields. He was the founding director of Taisek Engineering (PVT) Ltd and even ventured into politics, forming the Zimbabwe Industrial and Technological Revolutionary Party (ZITER) in 2010. He had also announced his intention to run for President in the 2018 elections.
Rest in peace, Daniel Chingoma.
