Geraldine was raised in Zimbabwe by a family of entrepreneurs and hard workers. Her grandmother, despite limited formal education, and her mother, a tireless worker, taught her the value of independence and perseverance.

Geraldine’s educational background played a pivotal role in shaping her future. With a degree in Mass Communication from a local university, she acquired the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the media and communications industry. This solid foundation would later serve as the springboard for her entrepreneurial ventures.

At just 17, Geraldine registered her first company, showcasing her innate entrepreneurial spirit. However, she temporarily set aside her business aspirations to work for a local newspaper company. This brief stint in employment ended with her being fired, an event that reignited her passion for entrepreneurship.

In 2014, Geraldine founded 143 Communications, diving headfirst into Zimbabwe’s nascent digital landscape. Despite facing challenges, her persistence paid off. Today, 143 Communications offers a range of services, including social media platform creation, management, advertising, and marketing, website development and management, and app development.

Geraldine’s achievements have earned her numerous accolades, including Top 100 Young African Entrepreneurs Trailblazer (TYI 2018 Awards), finalist in the CBZ Youth Entrepreneurship 2019 Program, featured in the list of young entrepreneurs to watch in 2019, and nominated for Top 100 Young Business Women in Africa 2020.

Geraldine currently sits on four boards, including LASACCO and PAICTA. As a woman in business, Geraldine faced unique challenges. Some men underestimated her, assuming she would compromise her values to secure contracts. Losing a significant contract due to her refusal to compromise only strengthened her resolve. Supported by family, friends, colleagues, and her husband, Geraldine persevered.
