In an interview with The Herald, Matemadanda cautioned Zimbabweans to steer clear of demonstrations and remain vigilant, as violence can erupt unexpectedly.
Matemadanda emphasized that Zimbabweans should prioritize their safety, avoiding areas where crowds are forming. He reminded nationals that they are in a foreign country and should avoid activities that might expose them to danger. Despite no reported harm to Zimbabweans, the ambassador stressed the importance of caution.
Matemadanda also warned travelers to Mozambique of potential transport disruptions due to the protests. He advised business travelers to exercise caution and avoid involvement in protests. By staying informed and vigilant, Zimbabweans in Mozambique can minimize their risk and ensure their safety during this tumultuous period.
