Our #MCM today is Lamech T. Gowero, affectionately known as Travolta, a talented Zimbabwean Portrait Photographer and Brand Strategist based in Harare. With a career spanning from 2017 to date, Travolta has established himself as a versatile photographer, dabbling in all forms of photography from portraits to product and brand campaigns.

As the Head Honcho at Vigorous Youth, a collective of creative youths making strides in the Zimbabwean creative industry, Travolta has been instrumental in promoting and supporting emerging artists. Through his Vigorous Aesthetics brand, he has worked with numerous high-profile clients, including Killer T, Ishan, Poptain, K Chaps, Music Director Simdoc, and Rain Midzi.
As a creative, Travolta is an African storyteller, true to himself and his experiences in Zimbabwe. His photographs are honest, heartfelt, and emotive, offering a glimpse into the lives and stories of the people and places he captures. Travolta’s ultimate goal is to showcase the Zimbabwean visual aesthetic on a global scale, just like East African culture and music.
Travolta’s work has been praised for its ability to capture the essence of his subjects. His photography style is evocative and thought-provoking, making him a standout in his field.
Beyond photography, Travolta is an entrepreneur, brand strategist, collaborator, friend, and brother. He is passionate about sharing his skills and knowledge with others, and has been involved in various charity initiatives through organizations such as African Is Ours (AIO) and Entrepreneurship, Arts, and Innovation Hub (EAI Hub).
During the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, Travolta was part of an intervention that provided virtual classes and mentorship opportunities to upcoming entrepreneurs. He also served as a Creativity Program Leader at IGNITE YOUTH organization, which helps young people discover and nurture their true purpose through peer mentorship programs.
