Our #WCW today is Karen Mutasa, a renowned Zimbabwean businesswoman, social activist, and angel investor. Born in Blantyre, Malawi, Karen moved to Zimbabwe at a young age and began her entrepreneurial journey in 1993.
Karen’s impressive career spans multiple industries, including beauty, wellness, hospitality, and luxury cosmetics. She is the founder of The Skin Spa Group, which has won the World Luxury Spa Award for four consecutive years. Her business portfolio also includes Organikks Restaurant, Masawara Urban Retreat, and the International Skin Spa College of Beauty.
Aside from her business achievements, Karen is passionate about community development and philanthropy. She founded the Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe (SOTZIM) in 2019, which raised $1.5 million to revitalize St. Anne’s Hospital. Karen also established an international college of beauty that sponsors young women to gain international certification in the beauty industry.
