President Emmerson Mnangagwa has made significant changes to his administration, starting with the appointment of Fulton Mangwanya, the current Director-General of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, as the new Director-General of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO). Mangwanya takes over from Isaac Moyo, who has been relieved of his duties as the CIO boss. This development was announced by Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr. Martin Rushwaya.

In another major move, President Mnangagwa has announced ministerial redeployments, which saw July Moyo taking charge of the Energy and Power Development Portfolio. This move comes as the country is experiencing prolonged load shedding, and July Moyo will be tasked with finding solutions to this crisis. Meanwhile, Minister Edgar Moyo will now be at the helm of the Public Service, Labour, and Social Welfare Portfolio, swapping roles with July Moyo.

These changes are seen as a significant shake-up in President Mnangagwa’s administration. The appointments were made in accordance with the Constitution of Zimbabwe, which empowers the President to make such appointments.
