From humble beginnings, Nelly Paulser carved out a path that would eventually lead her to become the founder of Graphic House Zim, a multi-award-winning company that has become a benchmark for excellence in Zimbabwe’s design, printing, and branding industry. Her story is one of taking risks, overcoming challenges, and building a legacy that inspires many across Africa.
She has become one of the most visible Female Entrepreneurs in Africa. She has been awarded multiple Entrepreneurship Awards for her work In the STEM field and as a Leader in Africa including her most recent award of 100 Most Influential Persons in Africa by The Business Executive Ghana.
She is Professionally Certified as an Entrepreneur by several organizations including the US Embassy, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, the United Nations and the International Labour Organization amongst others.
Nelly Co-founded a Multi-Award Winning Graphic design, Printing & Branding company called Graphic House Zim. She is also the Co-Founder of the first Print Media & Entrepreneurship Based Non profit in Zimbabwe called Lerato Trust which is partnered with Kidpreneur Africa and other organizations from Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya and successfully executed the Africa Kidspreneur Summit in Gaborone Botswana this August of 2024.
Nelly’s entrepreneurial spirit manifested at a young age when she began her first business venture by tutoring students in Mathematics. “My journey as an entrepreneur first started when I was still young and immature,” she says. The earnings from these lessons became the capital for her next venture: buying and selling cooking oil during a tumultuous period in Zimbabwe’s history, when shortages of basic commodities were rampant. “After the first real shaking of our economy in Zimbabwe, we experienced a lot of shortages of basic commodities. That’s when I ventured into buying and selling cooking oil,” she recalls.
Nelly dream is to turn her household name into an influential brand with broad expertise in the Entrepreneurship Arena and would love to see other female Entrepreneurs take up their space in the Entrepreneurial world to bring about impact in Africa.
She is a Mentor for Steminist girls community under Girl’s In Stem Trust, a Mentor for JTM Prayer Centre Youth & Young Adults Community Groups. She is a Business Mentor under the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs program and under the Hozi Innovator program both of which are supported by the US Department of State and Girls Who Print Africa. She is a Judge for the prestigious Africa’s Business Heroes – A Jack Ma Foundation’s flagship philanthropic program in Africa to support entrepreneurs.
During her free time she is a Global Speaker on topics such as Entrepreneurship, Women Empowerment, Youth Empowerment, Mental Health and building of Kingdom Business Partners.
Nelly is bringing Design, Print, Branding and Entrepreneurship experience and exposure to the Youths in Africa. She is impacting lives using her skills as a medium to speak peace, mentor strong, ethical foundations in Entrepreneurs, both youths and women, in Africa.
