Zimbabwe National Army Calls for Officer Cadet Applications

The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) has announced a recruitment drive for regular officer cadets, inviting young and qualified individuals to join its ranks and undergo training to become officers. To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of six points at ‘A’ level and five ‘O’ level passes with a grade ‘C’ or better, including English and Mathematics. Higher qualifications such as diplomas and degrees will be an added advantage. Age limits vary based on education level, ranging from 18 to 22 years for ‘A’ level holders and up to 26 years for diploma and degree holders.

In addition to academic qualifications, applicants must also meet physical requirements, including a minimum height of 1.65m for males and 1.55m for females, as well as weight requirements of 55kg for men and 53kg for women. Applicants must also be single. Interested candidates can submit their applications between February 10 and 22, 2025, at designated provincial headquarters and venues. Contact numbers for each provincial headquarters are provided for assistance.

Successful candidates will undergo training at the Zimbabwe Military Academy in Gweru for 21 months, after which they will be commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The ZNA offers attractive benefits, including good remuneration, free medical and dental care, housing and transport allowances, and generous leave conditions.
