Yvonne Mangunda is a Zimbabwean television and radio personality, sportscaster, and former Marketing and Communications Manager at Dynamos Football Club. Born on November 9, 1985, in Harare, Yvonne has made a name for herself in the entertainment and sports industries. She is married to Allen Maradzike and is a mother of two beautiful children.
Yvonne’s career in the entertainment industry began when she landed a role in the ZTV soap opera, Studio 263. She played the character of Sibo and was even nominated for the Best Actress award at the National Arts Merit Awards. Her talent and charisma on screen caught the attention of many, and she went on to represent Zimbabwe in the African reality show, Imagine Africa.
In Imagine Africa, Yvonne proved herself to be a true achiever, making it out of 10,000 entrants from 40 countries. Her team went on to win the contest, and she pocketed a whopping US$6,000 among other prizes. This achievement showcased her determination and resilience, qualities that have helped her succeed in her career.
In addition to her work in entertainment, Yvonne has also made a name for herself in the sports industry. She worked as a sportscaster at Star FM, alongside notable personalities like Steve Vickers and Howard Musonza. In 2020, she took on the role of Marketing and Communications Manager at Dynamos Football Club, where she worked until her resignation in 2021. She has since joined Zimbabwe Cricket, where she continues to make waves in the sports industry.
Yvonne’s passion for sports extends beyond her professional work. She enjoys playing netball, softball, tennis, and cricket, and has even completed her Level One coaching course in football. Her love for sports and her dedication to her work make her an inspiration to many young women in Zimbabwe and beyond.
