Our #MCM today is Dough Major, a multi-talented Zimbabwean rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive. Born and raised in Tynwald, Harare, Dough Major has made a name for himself in the music industry with his unique sound and style. He gained recognition as a rapper after releasing his first project, “Sheeben Rap Papa EP,” which showcased his skills and creativity.
Dough Major’s success extends beyond his music. In 2016, he co-founded the record label Roman Rap Studios with Lloyd Soul and Boy Tricky. This venture has provided a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talents and has contributed to the growth of the Zimbabwean music scene. Dough Major’s collaborations have also been well-received, with hits like “Hazvidi Dzungu,” “Changu chepa jecha,” and “Wakuketa Staira” showcasing his ability to work with other artists and create catchy, memorable songs.
