A shocking incident has left the Mabvuku community in Harare reeling after Mabel Sato allegedly fatally stabbed her husband, Duncan Chiwaya, on February 28, 2025. The couple’s marriage was reportedly plagued by infidelity allegations, leading to frequent and intense arguments.
According to neighbor Ethel Luundu, who grew up with Duncan, the couple’s relationship was tumultuous, with Mabel seeking a way out of the marriage. Despite mediation efforts, the relationship continued to deteriorate, ultimately leading to the tragic events.
Duncan’s mother, visibly distraught, expressed her heartbreak, stating she was unaware of the specific circumstances surrounding her son’s murder.
