In a significant development, FIFA has lifted the ban on Highlanders F.C, paving the way for the Bulawayo giants to register new players for the 2025 season. The ban was imposed due to unpaid debts to former coaches Baltemar Brito and Torres.

The resolution of the matter was made possible by businessman Wicknell Chivayo, who cleared the outstanding debt. Highlanders F.C expressed their gratitude to Chivayo and FIFA for their efforts in resolving the issue.

With the ban now lifted, Highlanders F.C can proceed with registering their new signings. The club’s management and fans will be relieved that the hurdle has been cleared, and they can focus on the upcoming season. As the club stated, “Ukhon’ozokhala!” – a phrase that roughly translates to “We will conquer!”
