Khama Billiat, the Scotland FC star, has been nominated for the prestigious Annual National Sports Awards (ANSA) in Zimbabwe. The awards, which are returning after a five-year hiatus, will take place on March 30, 2025, at Cresta Lodge in Msasa. Billiat is among 15 athletes nominated for the newly introduced “People’s Choice” award, which recognizes popular athletes across various sports.

The “People’s Choice” award nominees include Sikandar Raza, Vitalis Chikoko, Paige Van Der Westhuizen, and Sasha Chimedza, among others. Voting for this award will take place online. In addition to the “People’s Choice” award, the main awards will cover 10 categories, including Junior Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, and Coach of the Year.
The ANSA awards aim to recognize and celebrate Zimbabwe’s top athletes and sports personalities. This year’s event promises several exciting new additions and innovations to elevate the ceremony to a world-class level. The theme for the 2025 ANSA awards is “Setting the Gold Standard.”
