Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) is facing a severe financial crisis, with journalists being sent on two weeks of unpaid leave per month. This decision comes as the company struggles to pay employees’ salaries in US dollars, with some staff members going seven months without receiving their US dollar component pay and three months without their ZIG component pay.
The situation has led to concerns about the company’s management, with employees blaming poor leadership and misplaced priorities for the financial woes. The recent appointment of a new human resources manager has done little to alleviate concerns, with workers feeling “grossly violated” by the management’s decisions.
