The Zimbabwean media fraternity is mourning the sudden death of senior journalist Herbert Mutugwi, who collapsed and died at work on Monday at the age of 58. Mutugwi, a respected figure in journalism, dedicated nearly four decades to the profession, starting as a cadet reporter in 1987 and rising through various editorial roles, including News Editor at Manica Post and Editor of several publications under New Ziana.
He was known for his editorial expertise and commitment to mentoring young journalists. The Zimbabwe Mass Media Trust and New Ziana expressed deep sorrow, describing him as a pillar of strength in the newsroom.
