Yadah FC owner and founder of Prophetic Healing Ministries, Prophet Walter Magaya, has revealed he is considering running for the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) presidency in next year’s elections. Magaya made the announcement at the conclusion of the inaugural Heart Women Soccer Tournament.

A group of women’s football administrators approached Magaya, urging him to throw his hat into the ring. “There’s a group of people from the Women’s Soccer League that came to me and said I should put my name forward for ZIFA presidency,” Magaya said.

Magaya will consult his family and church before making a decision, expected within two weeks. “I’ll analyse the situation, considering what changes can be made and how I can contribute,” he stated.

Magaya joins UK-based FIFA Football Match Agent Ellen Chiwenga as confirmed candidates for the ZIFA presidency. The elections are set to take place before the Normalisation Committee’s tenure expires in June next year, paving the way for a new ZIFA board.
