Fresh allegations have emerged against MWOS FC, accusing them of bribing Norton Community FC players with US$50 each before their last game against Scottland FC. This scandalous revelation comes amidst Norton Community FC’s own match-fixing allegations, leading to the suspension of their technical team and players. The accusations also include using unregistered players, violating ZIFA Standing Rules.

The controversy unfolds as Scottland FC, currently tied with MWOS FC at 72 points, vies for promotion to the Premier Soccer League. Scottland’s 7-0 win against Norton Community FC last week intensified the battle. The Northern Region Soccer League chairman, Martin Kweza, has taken notice of the developments and requested Norton Community FC to share their investigation findings.

Preliminary reports suggest Norton Community FC used unregistered players, warranting further investigation. Moreover, allegations imply that MWOS FC bribed Norton Community players to hinder Scottland’s chances.

The scandal is linked to previous incidents, including the abandoned Karoi United FC game in September, ruled in favor of Scottland. Match commissioner Kanzvimbo Kanzvimbo reported that Karoi United fans attacked him and Scottland’s technical team, and the goalkeeper feigned injuries to delay play.
