A devastating incident occurred at Gonorenda Homestead in Marange, Mutare, where four individuals tragically lost their lives. Two others were hospitalized after ingesting a concoction derived from the aloe vera plant.

Preliminary reports indicate the victims mistakenly believed the aloe vera mixture possessed medicinal properties. However, its consumption proved fatally toxic.
