Chen Mo Yun, a 44-year-old Chinese national, has been deported from Zimbabwe for his alleged involvement in the illegal cremation of Huang Tian Song in Harare. At the request of Chinese authorities, Yun was flown out of the country last Wednesday. This development follows an investigation that linked him to the unlawful cremation.

Huang Tian Song mysteriously died at Trauma Centre in Borrowdale on May 22. Five other Chinese nationals – Chen Ying, Xia Wexing, Guo Weilin, Yan Qi, and Wang Huasheng – were fined $200 each for cremating Song without her family’s consent and deported. During further interrogation in China, the five implicated Yun as the mastermind behind the illegal cremation, alleging he operated a mafia-like organization in Harare.

The group was found guilty of obtaining a burial order under false pretenses, sparking concerns about the circumstances surrounding Song’s death and the haste to cremate her body.
