Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has fallen victim to a daring robbery at Alpha Omega Farm in Marondera, where thieves made off with US$75,000 believed to be part of his lobola payment. A group of approximately 19 gunmen stormed the farm, leaving the police scrambling to apprehend the perpetrators and recover the stolen funds.
Chivayo, a prominent Zimbabwean businessman and socialite, had reportedly set aside the stolen funds as part of his lobola obligations.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police have launched an investigation into the robbery and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
