Blessed Geza, a war veteran and former Zanu PF central committee member, has resurfaced after weeks in hiding, following a police manhunt. Geza had been declared a person of interest by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in February 2025, with charges including inciting public violence, insulting President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and illegally acquiring and disposing of three vehicles.

Geza’s reappearance was marked by a video posted on his official X account, where he appeared clad in military camouflage and speaking from an undisclosed location. He announced that he would be using this new account for official communication and hinted at a major announcement in the coming hours. Geza’s return has sparked interest, especially given his history of criticizing President Mnangagwa and his administration.
Geza’s charges include violating Section 113 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, as well as undermining presidential authority and inciting public violence. The Zimbabwe Republic Police had warned that anyone assisting Geza in evading arrest would face legal consequences. With Geza’s return, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold.
