Trevor Dongo, a musician, was arrested by police officers from Harare Central Police Station due to a fire at his rented apartment in the CBD. He’s been charged with malicious damage to property. The fire allegedly started after a physical altercation between two of his lovers, resulting in one of them setting his bed on fire while the other escaped.
Dongo sustained minor burns and was rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical attention. His lawyer, Dumisani Mthombeni, accompanied him to the police station, where he signed a “warned and cautioned” statement before being released .
It’s worth nothing that Dongo has been open about his struggles with social media abuse and even contemplated suicide. His friends and fellow musicians, including Mudiwa Hood, Willis Wataffi, Stunner, and Ex Q, have come together to offer support and assistance.
