Police in Beitbridge have arrested two individuals, Charles Gumbo (56) and Witness Chinemo (43), for unlawful possession of a contraband shipment of Broncleer Cough Syrup valued at USD 16,400. The duo was intercepted while traveling in a haulage truck.
In separate incidents in Harare, two women, Fracia Mupfumbe (41) and Getrude Bhinza (50), were arrested at Mbare Musika for unlawful possession of dagga. Additionally, Priviledge Ndudzo (28) was apprehended in Kambuzuma for unlawful possession of dagga (skunk).
The arrests demonstrate the police’s continued efforts to crack down on illicit goods and narcotics in the country. The authorities are working to investigate and prosecute those involved in these crimes.
