Scottland FC president Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya has donated US$100,000 to Simba Bhora FC to fully fund their CAF Champions League preliminary round fixture against Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs. The contribution will cover travel, accommodation, and match-related expenses, ensuring the Shamva-based club enters continental competition without financial strain.

Sakupwanya, a prominent businessman and sponsor of Simba Bhora through his company Betterbrands, also pledged to pay the team’s winning bonuses. His gesture comes as the club prepares for its debut in the CAF Champions League, following a strong domestic campaign in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

The donation underscores Sakupwanya’s growing influence in Zimbabwean football, where private sponsorship has become vital for club sustainability. Simba Bhora officials welcomed the support, describing it as a morale boost ahead of their international assignment. The club is expected to travel to Eswatini later this month for the first leg of the tie.
