Desmond “Gazza” Maringwa of Zimbabwe has been elected Vice President of FIFPRO Africa, following the division’s General Assembly held in Cairo, Egypt. Maringwa will continue serving on the division’s board, working alongside Egypt’s Magdy Abdelghani and Kenya’s Terry Ouko. Meanwhile, former Cameroon international Geremie Njitap was re-elected as President of FIFPRO Africa. A two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner, Njitap’s continued leadership signals stability and continuity for the organization, as it seeks to expand its reach and impact in advocating for players’ rights across Africa.
