
Wendy Madzura is a distinguished agronomist in Zimbabwe known for her leadership and commitment to improving agricultural productivity. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Agronomy from Midlands State University, obtained in 2012. Wendy has gained extensive experience in the agricultural sector, spending eight years in the industry, including five years at Zimbabwe Farmers’ Cooperative (ZFC) Limited. Currently, she serves as the Head of Agronomy Services at Seed Co Zimbabwe, a leading seed company where she provides agronomy and extension services to farmers across the country. Her role involves offering innovative farming solutions aimed at increasing crop productivity and profitability. Wendy is widely recognized for her expertise and leadership in agronomy, which is reflected in her multiple accolades. She received the National Young Agro-Professional of the Year award and was celebrated as Zimbabwe’s Top Young Agro-Professional in the Federation of Young Farmer Awards in 2018. In 2019, she was honored as one of the Outstanding Young Women in Agriculture during the National Young Champion Farmer Awards and was also listed among the top twenty Agricultural Economic Empowered individuals in the same awards. Additionally, she won the Best Woman Extension and Agronomy Provider award in the private sector at the Youths in Agriculture awards in 2020.

Beyond her professional role, Wendy Madzura is actively involved in youth agricultural development. She is the board chairperson of 4H Zimbabwe, serves on the board of Fairful Investments (Pvt) Ltd, and advises several young farmers’ associations, including the Federation of Young Farmer Clubs and the Apex Council of Young Farmers within Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Agriculture. Through her dedication and innovative approach, Wendy Madzura continues to play a key role in Zimbabwe’s agricultural development, empowering farmers and contributing to national food security.
